Great teriyaki and bang for buck + very personable experience!
Teriyaki - Apparently his spicy teriyaki is well known and delicious. So much so he made me try some. It was good and not too spicy. Sweet, tender, and a little bit of spice. Loved it. His original teriyaki chicken is also good and he puts the sauce to the side so you can control how much of it you eat. Let's talk about his cabbage too! The cabbage is really good because it's pickled. Not sure if it's because I'm Korean and love pickled things, but wow that cabbage is good.
Service - Mr. Yoshino remembers everything about you. The guy is passionate, no joke. You'll see it hear it when you go to his shop. He can go on and on, but he loves his work and his food and he's proud of it. And I would be too. You rarely see this passion :). So I like and it's his personable approach to running this shop that gives this shop a 5 star rating. Good teriyaki awesome passion and focus.
You get a lot of food. A lot.
I say check it out. Heart matters and this place has a lot of it. -

Yoshino Teriyaki is hands down the best in Seattle! Mr. Yoshino is always there to welcome you in with some sweet heckling and wisdom. His teriyaki sauce is thinner than what you might get at other places but it is what makes this place amazing. It's not too sweet or salty but just right! I usually get half spicy, half regular chicken teriyaki with sauce on top.
If you haven't tried this place yet please do yourself a favor and give it a try! -

Ultra delicious! My favorite Teriyaki spot in town :) discovered this by accident and kept coming back. The best part about this is how it isn't overly sweet or dripping with sauce. Charred to perfection and juicy on the inside - just like it should be. Cabbage is fresh and crunchy too. Love the price and the portions - will return!

Hands down the best teriyaki in Seattle. While I believe flavor is important, the quality of meat needs to hit a certain standard. Yoshino's meat is fresh, nicely cut and is clearly high quality. I've never had a super fatty or unappealing piece of chicken. They also add teriyaki sauce at the end so you can decide how much you want, or just get it on the side. Great place and awesome service.

Like others have said: The owner was nice, but after awhile he just kept talking. And talking. And talking. I just wanted an easy take out, but he talked too much. He was a little odd, nice, but odd. He tried to tell us what to order and how to order. I just want the tofu, buddy.
It was okay. HUGE portions for $9 so can't complain that much. I got the tofu teriyaki with half noodles and half rice. Overall it was average. Nothing special. And pretty greasy for my liking
My partner got the chicken teriyaki which he said was good
I'll probably be trying other places in the area before coming back to this one. It's not my first choice
